Dave Bornstein

Dave started in aviation as a member of Civil Air Patrol in the 1970’s. After taking flying lessons and soloing at Beverly in 1973 he joined the US Army training as a helicopter repairman serving in West Germany. He then earned a degree in Electrical Engineering and worked for a large multinational semiconductor company. Before retiring he designed semi custom chips and worked as an Engineering Director and Six Sigma Master Blackbelt. After raising a family he earned his private pilot license in 2006 going on to get his instructor certificate in 2015. He owns a piper Archer which he keeps at Beverly.
